Cardes

Terms of Use

Last updated: October 22, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Cardes iOS app (the “App”) provided by Cardes (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms apply in addition to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Standard EULA”). If they conflict, these Terms apply to the extent permitted by the Standard EULA.

1. The service

Cardes lets you scan sports cards to identify them, estimate their condition and grade, view market prices, organize collections and ask questions in an AI chat. Some features are free with daily limits; others require a Cardes Pro subscription.

2. Estimates, not guarantees

Card identification, condition grades, prices and AI chat answers are generated automatically and are estimates for informational purposes only. They may be inaccurate or incomplete. A Cardes grade is not an official grade from PSA, BGS, SGC or any other grading company, and prices reflect listings at a point in time, not a guaranteed sale value. Do not rely on the App as the sole basis for buying, selling, insuring or grading decisions.

3. Subscriptions and payments

4. Usage limits

Free and paid plans include usage limits (for example, scans or chat messages per day) shown in the App. We may change these limits, and we may limit or suspend access when we detect abuse, automated use or activity that harms the service.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and messages you submit (“Your Content”). You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process and transmit Your Content only to operate and improve the App, as described in our Privacy Policy. You confirm that you have the right to submit Your Content.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. Intellectual property

The App, its design, software and branding belong to us or our licensors. Player names, team names, league names and logos, card images and brand names are the property of their respective owners. Cardes is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any league, team, player, card manufacturer, grading company or eBay.

8. Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services (such as Apple, card recognition, pricing and AI providers). We are not responsible for third-party services or content, and links to other websites are provided for convenience only.

9. Termination

You can stop using the App and delete your data at any time from Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free or that results will be accurate.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or value of cards, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the date above. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
